A glimpse of a Tuscan Summer, oozing out of life with so much vibrancy, the Flower Shower Mehendi theme for Sonam and Neil was a walk through a not so quintessential Sicilian meadow with lots of lemons, terracotta pots and bright yellow flowers. Ravishing with the hues of young love, the decor perfectly brought out the true essence of youth and positivity.
The Mehendi ceremony took place in the rustic highlands of Khandala in Sonam’s private residence. The theme stayed parallel with her eco-friendly and sustainable values which everyone loved and appreciated. The decor with wicker, lemons, terracotta pots, daisies, and sunflowers were all aligned with the idea of sustainability as everything was recyclable and reusable. All the imported lemons were given away at the end of the ceremony to an old age home so that they could make pickles out of it, ensuring minimal wastage.
The youthful radiance of bright yellow was almost undeniable, the event was full of life and light which not only displayed sparks in the couples’ eyes but also in the foliage. The color tone for the vases, baskets, and pots were brown, light brown, and nudes to complement the vibrant green and yellow hues of the flowers. Numerous locally sourced sunflowers, daisies, Santini, roses, lilies, and candytufts worked as organic fillers to exude a countryside vibe. A perfect blend of the Mediterranean hues with the Mehendi venue.
Another spectacular highlight of the event was the bridal seating area which had an “amidst an orchard” feel to it. The contemporary settee was placed in between two gigantic sunflower baskets and vivid greenery had taken over the backdrop with lively yellow flowers peeking through.
That’s how another love-story remained imprinted on our memories under the sun, leaving trails of young love that promises another day full of life, filled with sunshine.
