Ever stopped and wondered about the power of the five senses? That warm touch of the soothing sand beneath your feet. The pleasing sounds of birds chirping. A spectacular view of the sunset. The smell of the first rain or the delectable taste of a heavenly dessert. Each has a special way of providing a distinct perception of the world.
Recently, Interflora covered a luxury liquor brand event at St. Regis, Mumbai that activated the power of these senses. With an invitation to pause, savour and indulge along with a timeless, and experiential aura, the task at hand was to create an immersive sensory experience that evoked myriad emotions within.
Evidently, blooms have a way of adding a tingle to each one of the senses. Fresh blooms were categorized to complement every experience and give it an enchanting touch.
Since every table had a chef-crated delicacy attached to it, the blooms were thoughtfully picked out to add to the appeal. For the venue, Interflora went for multiple arrangements, art installations and structures for the bar, that highlighted the organic and intricate feel of the venue.

Smell
Known to be one of the most powerful senses, just a whiff is enough to trigger an old memory or re-live an emotion. To bring this to life, Interflora used used an array of fresh & dry flowers, along with spices.
Taste
An essential for survival, it enables maintenance and function. To highlight this, some of the most visually stimulating flowers – Eryngium, Scabiosa, Sweet William and more, accompanied by fresh fruits were chosen. Assortments that were truly mouth-watering.
Sight
They say vision holds the key to our very being as it is through this, one perceives the world. For this, Interflora played with textures and light creating a truly mystical sight. One that will be etched in the viewer’s mind – Ball Moss, Banana flowers, Gomphrena, Celosia.
Sound
The language of the brain, every vibration is escorted with a feeling. And to evoke them, Interflora took inspiration from the calming sounds of the sea. Think mixed props with fresh and dried flowers – Roses, Wheat Grass, Pine cone, Bell Cup, Dry Lemon.
Touch
What your skin touches, touches you from within. And through this, we respond to our surroundings. To tease the sense, a medley of textures was used that was accompanied by an irresistible feel – Eryngium, Anthurium, Button Chrysanthemum, Celosia.
